OUR ACADEMY

Here at Storge Academy C.I.C, we offer alternative provision for children between 4 - 11 years of age in the East Midlands. We have curated a nurturing and empowering environment, meeting children where they’re at and supporting them in re-engaging with their education. We achieve this through our three core values:

  • Authenticity

  • Beauty

  • Contribution

We cultivate authenticity by celebrating individuality and creating a space where children feel seen, heard, and understood. A space where they belong.

Through a focus on beauty, we foster creativity and a deep appreciation for the world around them, encouraging children to find beauty in themselves, their relationships and their learning experiences.

With an emphasis on contribution, we guide each child to realise their unique potential, nurturing their ability to positively impact their community and the world.

Together, we create space for compassionate, supportive and transformative growth.

Director's Welcome

On behalf of myself, our children and all of the staff and strategic board members, I warmly welcome you to the Storge Academy website. We are an exciting and nurturing community who are committed to #DoingThingsDifferently. From our curriculum to our enrichment offer, our approach to professional development to our partnerships with the local community, we’re striving for authenticity, beauty and contribution. We believe that education should develop a child’s mind, body and soul. This drives every decision that we make and we’re proud that we are able to offer this entitlement to all of our children. It’s what we care passionately about. We also know that to fulfil this, we need to ensure that mental and physical health and wellbeing is at our core. For our children and our adults. You’ll see this reflected in everything that we do.

We’re proud to be an academy that offers 'appropriate provision.' Alongside our partner schools, we work hard to support children and families in reintegrating and repairing relationships with mainstream education.

We are ambitious and unapologetic about what we do at Storge Academy. It’s based on what we believe to be important and on the future that we want for our children and ourselves. We make sure however that we have as much fun as we can along the way!

I hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you get a sense of what we’re up to. If you would like to visit our academy to see for yourself how we’re doing things differently, then please get in touch and we will be happy to share opportunities for this.

OUR TEAM

Every team has a story...

We're connected through our core values of authenticity, beauty and contribution. Our ABCs.

Supporting children through times of challenge can be really hard and lonely. So we're deliberately holding space for children, families and staff to gather. Safely. And with purpose. To learn. To develop. To contribute.

Fancy joining us? We'd love to have you...
